My friends Topher, Leiter and I have organized a Support the Troops benefit car show three years in a row now. Last weekend was our third one and we had a great turnout. We had 82 cars, a whole trunk full of donated supplies and $520 donated in cash, all to be given to the USO. Unfortunately the weather kept some people away, otherwise we would have had an even better turnout!
The beauty of this event is that it doesn't matter what kind of cars people are into...everyone comes to show their support for our troops. One gentleman even told me about his son who is currently deployed overseas and he was truely grateful to us for organizing the car meet.

Here's the flier I designed

And here's my car full of all the donated items. Keep in mind my back seats were folded down flat and all the stuff was about two feet deep.
